Kenu
I am trying to archive some files to a dvd disc set. I get a message saying the disc is locked. How do I unlock the disc so I can add to my archive set? Never had this happen before? rhwalker
There seems to have been a bug introduced in recent RDU that is still present in RDU 6.1.13.101 that makes it only work with DVD+R media. I suggest that you either use DVD+R media or revert to an older RDU version, perhaps 6.1.9.102 or 6.1.8.101. Older RDU versions are downloadable here: http://kb.dantz.com/article.asp?article=7886&p=2 Russ
Kenu
I just upgraded my Mac to a Mac Pro with Leopard. Are either or both of the RDU's you suggested, compatible with Leopard and the Mac Pro? If not, can I mix my storage set media with DVD-R and DVD+R discs? Kenu
My experience. Dropping in older RUD's 6.1.9.102 or 6.1.8.101 didn't solved the problem. Retrospect started to write to the DVD-R, then the beachball would appear and Retrospect would be hungup. Then I switched to DVD+R discs which seem to work for the moment. Two of my storage sets are a combination of -R and +R. Retrospect doesn't seem to write to DVD-R discs, just +R.
Lennart_T
I got the same Pioneer drive as you and even if I can write to DVD-R discs, the DVD+R discs are much faster. (Both media are 16x). So stick with DVD+R and don't look back.
