relgis
Is there a way to turn off the incredibly annoying reminder messages that keep popping up to tell me I have never backed up over the internet or that I have never backed up over the network (even though I have). These are extremely obnoxious and costly, especially when I am in the middle of retouching an image in Photoshop.
AmyJ
These messages indicate that you are not being backed up via the client software. If you are running the Retrospect application locally on this machine, you should uninstall the Retrospect client - it is not needed. If your machine is configured to be a client machine (rather then the local backup machine), open the Retrospect Client control panel and check the history field - if it is blank, or has old dates, you are not getting backed up via this Retrospect Client control panel. You should check your backup script configuration. You can turn the notification off under the preferences for the client by opening the client control panel. I would strongly suggest making sure you are actually getting backed up before turning off this option.
relgis
Thank you for the help. Yes, we had inadvertantly installed client on this machine. Removal has stopped the problem.
