retrospect won't start

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am running retrospect 6.1.126 on Mac OS X. It was all working fine last week, and now it can't open. It gets to the part where it says Retrospect and the version and then the colored wheel just spins forever and it needs to be force quit.

Any suggestions on how I can get it to start? Is there a config file I can get to? Is there some kind of safe mode?

Thanks for any help!

Sounds like you might have corrupt preferences.

Try moving the file:

/Library/Preferences/Retro.Config (6.0)

to the Desktop (so Retrospect can't find it), then see if Retrospect will launch. You will need to re-enter your license code and set up your backup scripts again, etc., but your catalogs and backup sets won't be lost (but you will have to point Retrospect to them again).
