How Do Delete a backup Set

I have a back up set which I set up with out using encryption.

 

I know how to create a new back up set with encryption. (Done Already)

 

How do I delete the old back up set and all the data which is in plain text so that my data will be protected.

 

 

Also, I have ver 6.5.342 which only supports Dantz encryption.

 

I would like to up grade so I can use AES.

 

Do I have to purchase an upgrade.

Yes, you have to purchase an upgrade to get AES.

 

You don't tell us what type of backup device you are using. To remove the old data you either use Windows to erase the disk or you use configure>devices to erase the tape.

I purchased an upgrade.

 

I used a secure deletion utility to delete the old catalog.

 

Works but slow because of the encryption.
