tho3hite
I have tried to figure this out by experimentation with no luck. I have two backup sets: Disk set A and Disk set B. I want to create a script that will backup nightly to whichever of those two scripts happens to be installed at the time. In other words I want Retrospect to skip over the missing set and go on to use the available set. Any suggestions? Thanks, Thomas
Mayoff
Retrospect is not really designed to do this. Retrospect should be scheduled to use a specific set on a specific day.
rhwalker
Thomas, you can do it but it's a hack. Set up scripts for both backups to run, set a media timeout so that the missing set will fail after some timeout. You will always get a backup failure for the missing set, but it will do what you seem to want. Russ
