bobsumowrestler
Hi, I'm new to the forums and sorry if this has been covered before. We use Retrospect Server and have it backing up numerous linux / mac boxes around the country. Everything is great, although we can't actually backup our office machines. We run a script every evening at 10pm to back everything up to a central device that is rotated. I.e. nothing too amazing. However, because the machines in our office are usually off at 10pm, they never get backed up. I remember a couple of years ago that the client was supposed to backup when it appeared on the network again? Can someone please tell me how to sort this! Thanks in advance, Bob

bobsumowrestler
Thanks, have just read that article. So, do I have to create a backup server script? Because I have already created the backup that is rotated every friday to two hd's, can I just add it to that or not? Also, I don't think I understand the fundamental difference between back up scripts and the backup server stuff. Thanks, Bob
Mayoff
The Retrospect user's guide has clear information on Backup Server scripts. Based on your request, this is the script type you need.
