Praesepe
Hello all, I have retrospect client 7.0.112 installed on my clients. Unfortunately for most of them, users are not power user. Is there any ways they can add items to the private exclude list? or do anyone know where to add permissions to do so? Thanks in Advance!
SHnee
I got client 7.5.111 and there it's pretty obvious: on the client machine, click Start --> Programs --> EMC Retrospect and open the Retrospect Client in the Access tab, tick Private Files/Folders/Volumes, then you can add or remove Files/Folders/Volumes
Praesepe
thansk for the answer. I know that thanks. My problem is, when the user do not have any privilege at all. How can he add things in that list. Of course he can add stuff but when you apply and reload the client, they're all gone. Thanks
Mayoff
If your network policy is locking down the control panel or preventing the client from saving settings to a control panel, then the user can't do anything. You would need to create a selector on the backup server to exclude items.
Praesepe
Hello Mayoff, Thanks for your reply. That's exactly my problem. But i could make exceptions to that and modify file permissions to the user. Do you know if that's possible and if so which file it would be? Thanks again
