matzer9
hi there, i'm using os 9.2 and tried to install the maxtor one touch II, wich was a real problem, because the os did not initialized the hdd, so i had to format it with mac opener aas a HFS hdd. after that the mac showed me the hdd as it should be. after that i tried to backup the system, but after all the preferences retrospect express showed me a message that the hdd is being used and the backup cannot saved on the maxtor one touch II. so please help me and tell me what to do now. there is no chance to initialize the hdd with mac os 9.2 because the system tells it does not support the interface, does not matter if i use firewire or usb... thanks a million,. matt
natew
Hi Did you use a removable disk backup set or a file backup set? You must use a file backup set when backing up to hard disk under os 9 Thanks Nate
