freddyc40
Hi I have a icebook-CD only (500mhz) OS 9.2. I have been using Retrospect Express (v4.3). I back up to the office server when I am in the office on Fridays. Recently, for added security during the week, I like to back up one *small* folder of documents to an external USB floppy drive- this was successfully set up as a back up to "removable" . Recently the floppy became full. Retrospect gives me a full volume error message, however when I insert another disk it will not continue with the back up to the 2nd disk. If I name the 2nd floppy with the same name as the first it begins to back up the entire folder, stops and then tells me the disk is full. I set up Retrospect through: Configure-Options-Media/Action and clicked "skip" , which should allow me to add new media to back up set. But the problem continued. I have read through the on line help manual and did STF but couldn't find any help. Can I set this back-up to span additional media (floppies)? Thanks! freddyc40
Today I noticed that the external USB floppy drive does not appear in the device window list but the floppy disk itself with the back-up (which is full) does appear in the window. Does Express need to see the floppy drive itself in order to allow the back-up to span more than one disk?
AmyJ
Go to Configure > Backup Sets and 'Configure' the backup set you are using with the floppy drive. What kind of backup set is listed in the top corner? Disk or File?
