avicom
hello, i am running client 5.0.540 on OS10.2.6. when i install the client, there is never a screen asking me to set a password. the installation process completes, the client turns on, but when i go to add the client to the server i get a password error. i have viewed the tutorial for installing a mac client and have noticed that pictures 7 and 8 (which deal with setting a password) do not show up on my installation. i have uninstalled and reinstalled a dozen times to no avail. please let me know if anyone else has had this problem or if a solution is known. i would also like to know what directories retrospect puts file in.... during the installation process some 97 files are installed, but when i "uninstall" i can only find a handful of those to trash. regards, dan. AmyJ
Try an uninstall / reboot / reinstall. If that fails, the client password is stored in the retroclient.state file located at: /var/root/Library/Preferences/
