mpf
I just bought Retrospect Backup Desktop 5 for Mac OSX (on a a G4 Titanium host) with 3 downloaded Clients for an OS 9.2 iMac and two WinMe machines, to be networked via Ethernet and backed up to a big external Firewire hard drive on the G4 (no secondary storage required). I presently have Retrospect Express (various versions) individually installed on all of them. Should I uninstall these Express versions (last [saved] Backup catalogs too?) before installing the new programs? I havent tackled the Retrospect Backup Desktop for the host yet, but there's no info on this I can find in the ReadMe and PDF manual for the Clients. Many thanks. IrenaS
You can uninstall Express, but it's not required. As for the catalog files, you can use them with your new program, so if you'd like, you don't need to completely start over. Hope this helps!
