Importing Scripts w/Installing 5.x for OSX

Recommended Posts

I must be missing something, as I see no way to import my OS9 scripts into OSX. Must I REALLY create all new scripts for each backup set? Besides all the work, it just seems silly. I have searched the board and found no answers to this question.

When you launch 5.0 for the first time, it should ask if you wish to import preferences from 4.x or start with default prefs. Choose "Import."

If you are not prompted to import on first launch, you can place your 4.x preferences file in your OS X system at /Library/Preferences/Retrospect. Be sure there are not other Retro.Config files in the folder; if there are, drag them out of this folder. Launching Retrospect at that point should offer the option to import.

The 4.x preferences are kept in a file under OS 9 called "Retro.Config (4.2)" (yes, even 4.3 prefs) and are at System > Preferences > Retrospect.
