denniskane
Getting a new PowerMac dual 1 GHz to hook up to my VXA AutoPak. From the posts I've read so far, seems as though I should buy an Adaptec 39160 and make sure that I load the old driver. Is there a better card for me? Oh oh. I have the AutoPak 1x15, not the 1x10. Will I have a compatibility problem?
lv2ski
The 39160 should work fine with the older driver. What about an Atto Card? That is another option that people have said they have had good luck with.
denniskane
Melissa, Thanks for the advice. I'll probably get the UL3D, 33 MHz for my G4 tower. Does the reference to "independent dual channel" mean that I will be able to run my speedy ultra-2 VXA and my slower Sony scsi1 DDS tape with no speed hit due to mixing of scsi generations? OK, so this isn't a Dantz question, but inquiring minds still want to know. Dennis
