maike13
I'm having an odd problem with Retrospect 6.5. I have two 500GB external e-Sata drives set up as Dynamic Disks and spanned to form one 1000GB volume. I have Retrospect backing up to a file on that volume. Everything works fine until the file size reaches around 120 - 130 GB and then Retrospect starts reporting "Trouble writing ..." errors and won't write anything more to the file. Re-starting the back-up with a new file specified as the back-up destination again works fine until around the 120 - 130 GB file size and then the same thing happens. I now have two files of size 130,660,440 & 124,226,732. Retrospect won't write any more data to either of these but otherwise (search, retrieve, etc.) they work just fine. I repeated this another couple of times and each time it quit writing to the file between 120 and 130 GB. The PC is running Windows 2000 SP4 and the drives are formatted NTFS. Anyone have any idea what's going wrong and how to fix it? thanks, Mike PS. I have another set up running Windows 2000 SP4 and Retrospect 6.0 backing up to a file on a 1500GB external Raid array, and this works just fine.
