powersm
I am running OSX Server 10.1.4. When I set the backup volume to be the entire hard drive my sharepoints disappear. I have the backup set verify the backup and it shows an error after running that the volume doesn't exist anymore. When I go to server admin you can see spaces where they should be (if they were gone you couldn't scroll up and down). I have to reset the sharepoints and reboot. Has anyone seen this? I am afraid this is keeping me from backing up the system folders.
AmyJ
How are you backing up this volume? As a local drive? As a Retrospect Client? As a mounted drive? What if you backup subvolumes? Does the problem go away?
powersm
The problem does disappear when I backup subvolumes. The problem occurred when I tried to backup the whole volume. The volume is the volume Retrospect Server is located.

There is only one volume on the machine, and it contains numerous server share points. When you state "The volume is the volume Retrospect Server is located." are you talking about the boot volume on the Mac? You should post the relevant portion of your log, if it contains errors that you believe are related, as well as some specific configuration information about your setup.
