zimbakin
Running OSX Server 10.4.10, Retro 6.1.126 with a Quantum Superloader. Retrospect would previously automatically quit and eject media (as per preference settings), however now, upon completion of a daily backup script, Retro will show the successful completion window with the animated 'checker box' icon. It just sits there and does nothing. I have to then manuanlly quit Retro to force eject the media before swapping magazines. As mentioned, this was working fine in 10.4.9. Any suggestions? Is there some additional information somewhere that you have provided? - Has anything else changed? New scripts? Any Preference changes? - What is set for your Look ahead time preference(Special->Preferences->Schedule)? - What is set for your Unattended preference? Apologies..failed to mention the aforementioned Quote: - Has anything else changed? New scripts? Any Preference changes? Nothing has change re. scripts, preferences, setup etc. Just one day it decided to stop ejecting media back into the magazine. The only changes have been, OSX server updates and Retrospect updates. Quote: - What is set for your Look ahead time preference(Special->Preferences->Schedule)? look ahead time 12 hours (unchanged) The fact that my backups now take around 13hrs, could this be causing the problem? Quote: - What is set for your Unattended preference? unattended = quit Media Handling = Eject media (eject tapes when quitting)

Yep. If the time remaining between the end of a given backup and the start of the next scheduled backup is less than whatever Look Ahead time you've set, Retrospect will not perform your selected Unattended action; i.e., in your case, won't quit.
