LaCie CD-RW U&I not appearing

I'm attempting to use Retrospect Express 4.3 with a LaCie U&I CD-RW drive, which is supported according to the website.

 

 

 

I'm using Toast 5.0.2 to burn CDs. (The Apple G4 computer I'm using does not have an internal CD burner.)

 

 

 

The operations log for Retrospect indicates that Retrospect Driver Update version 2.5.101 is loading correctly. However, Retrospect still won't recognize the LaCie drive as a backup device, and the Device Status window shows the device as a Mitsumi CR-48X9TE, with the driver as .sdapStubDrvr.

 

 

 

Any ideas?

This drive (Mitsumi CR-48X9TE) is not yet supported for use with Retrospect. For a list of currently qualified devices, please see:

Dantz goes through a rigorous qualification process with every drive we test. This means that not every drive will be qualified and we can never guarantee that a particular device will be supported. Some drives do not get qualified ever, and some take 6 months to a year to get support. We have no way of telling if this drive will be supported or not at this moment.
