jamesv6
Hello, I'm a running a retrospect single server 7.5 .387. I am currently backing up around 80 users and 20 of them are on a proactive backup (laptops). I have one user (IBM-Laptop) on the proactive backup that keeps deferring the backups. I have found out that the user does not received any notification to defer or backup. I have reinstalled and uninstall retrospect client from her machine several times to no avail. The event logs show the user has deferred the backup. But the user is not doing this. I have testing the machine and monitor the status on the users laptop. It automatically gets deferred. Is there a way to fix this? I want the user to have the option to deferred or to backup. At this point I want the proactive backup to work. I am only having this issue with this particular user. All my other proactive user are working fine. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time. Please let me know if you need any additional information regarding this issue. jamesv6
Well I have updated the client version to 7.5.116 and the laptop still keeps deferring the backup without any user interaction. I’m still at a lost on what is going on with this laptop. Worst case scenario is to rebuild the machine. I don’t know what else to do. jamesv6
NICE that did it. It works now. All this time it was that one file "retro_defer" that was causing the backups to defer. Thanks you very much for your help James
