mtt sys admin Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Is anybody having a problem with the operations log after the latest update for Retrospect? My log is acting funny. If I delete the log it will open up correctly but if I open up the backup report it starts outputting the above errors. It only started happening after the latest update. Has anyone seen this or experienced it before and have or know the fix? or if anyone could just help me to identify the problem so I can resolve it.
Lennart_T Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I got the same problem once, when going from version 6.5 to 7.0. Did you buy an upgrade recently? I quote rhwalker. Please provide: (1) complete version number of Retrospect (2) complete version number of Retrospect Driver Update (3) complete version number of the OS (4) complete description of hardware being used. (5) complete description of the steps you are doing (6) complete description of the problem (You can omit step 6, as we already know)
mtt sys admin Posted May 29, 2007 Author Report Posted May 29, 2007 Lennart: I haven't upgraded ever. I have only used Retrospect 7.5. This problem started to occur after the latest updates earlier this month. Here are the answers the other questions too. 1. Retrospect single server version 7.5.387 2. Driver Update and Hot Fix, version 7.5.11.100 3. Installed on a Microsoft Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 4 OS 4. Pentium 4 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB IDE Hard Drive, 4mm dds tape drive 5. disk to disk to tape Proactive backup
Lennart_T Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Quote: I haven't upgraded ever. Rats. It happened here once, when going from 6.5 to 7.0. It turned out it was the prefs files that wasn't properly converted between versions. Converting them again did the trick. I'm stumped. Sorry.
