Can't Install Retrospect 7.5 Client on Win VISTA PC

I am trying to install Retrospect Client 7.5 on my new Windows VISTA PC but am getting an error message during the installation -- the only error that occurs, otherwise the install goes properly -- that is apparently affecting the ability to save the password because, when I attempt to connect to the client from the backup server it does not recognize the password. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice now and got the same results both times: Reigstry error/HEXKEY code error, followed by (apparently) successful install, followed by inability to connect using my password. Is there a patch to fix this problem?
