TorontoUser Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 The Maxtor drive shows in Device manager under disk drives as OK, but also appears as an "unknown" lower down and I think it's because I just cannot get the Retrospect client to register. The screen comes up to do so, but when I enter my number it just disappears and remains unlicensed. There is no option to repair it in Vista's uninstall menu..I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling 4 times now.
TorontoUser Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 Finally managed to get it to register by totally uninstalling everything, doing a registry clean and then installing when signed in as the Administrator. Apparently this makes a difference from using compatibility mode (despite the fact that I am an Administrator). I got one touch to work, but only in Admin, not other users. Will post as a separate issue.
