billd6
I'm trying to run an evaluation copy of 6.1.131 for Macintosh under OS X Server (10.4.8) on a Mac mini backing up to a external 500 gig HD via firewire 400. I believe 6.1.131 is the latest Mac version and is supposed to alleviate the ACL issue. I've also downloaded every patch I can find. All to no avail. Everytime I lauch Retrospect it crashes within 1 - 2 seconds. When I relaunch, I don't get an error code or anything. I have no idea where to start. EMC doesn't support evaluators so you guys are my only hope. Bill
rhwalker
Retrospect hack to ignore ACLs Does this help? Russ
billd6
That did the trick Russ. Acutally I did download the Retrospect - No ACL update but failed to notice that in addition I had to go the the Special Tab, open up Preferences and click on Turn Off backing up ACLs. Thanks for your help. Bill
