Mike Kahn Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.8 on a MacBook Pro and Restrospect 6.1 with the latest driver update. When I launch Retrospect soon after restarting the computer, it starts as it should ... no password required as I instructed in Preferences. After running it a few times (haven't counted how many) when I launch it by clicking on the icon in the dock, an EMC box appears asking for an Administrator Password. Two issues: 1. I configured Restrospect not to ask for the password and it runs fine for a while, then begins this. 2. When I enter the proprer administrator password for the computer and hit "OK", the dialog box disappears and Retrospect does not launch. The only work around I've found is to totally restart the Mac. Any suggestions? I never saw this before moving to the MacBook Pro.
machornet Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Hi, have you had any feedback on this? I have a similar problem where it has suddenly started asking for the admin password, despite trying to change the preferences, they simply won't stick and it insists on the password being entered every time.
Mike Kahn Posted December 4, 2006 Author Report Posted December 4, 2006 You're the first. No suggestions yet.
