macsimcon Posted July 2, 2002 Report Share Posted July 2, 2002 Our company is running Retrospect Workgroup under 10.1.5 on a B&W G3 450. I have several Quantum Snap servers I backup, which contain a combination of Windows and Mac OS files, and today during a restore, I noticed that the names of the Windows files (but not the folders) are all truncated to 8.3 (e.g. TESTER~1.DOC). Is this normal behavior for Retrospect, or just Retrospect Workgroup? Do I have an incorrect setting somewhere?
