Intel [Mac] client not seen

Recommended Posts

I've got a Mac OS X server [10.3.9] w/Retro Workgroup version 6.1.126 running and it can't see a new Intel/ProMac client.

The would be client enjoys a variety of other IP-based network services, but the server won't see it. Other clients are responding as expected and are being backed up.

Haven't been on-site to verify that the customer HAS in fact properly installed client, but he's pretty savvy and is familiar with the client side--he tells me all is well [installed and turned on waiting for authorization].

What gives?

Nothing more dangerous then a savvy customer!!!

- Check to be sure that the OS X firewall is not enabled, without opening UDP/TCP ports 497.

- Can you Test the client by IP address?

Configure->Clients->Network...->Test
