Karen0302
Again while trying out the Express demo, Zone Alarm poped up an alert telling me that Express wanted access to my LAN. Can someone explain why it would require this access? What is it looking for? Thanks very much! Karen
Mayoff
Yes, we have seen Retrospect Express access port 135 at the beginning of a backup, specifically after the data is backed up, and during the creation of the backup snapshot. We hope to address this in the upcoming release.
Karen0302
Mayoff, Thanks very much for the reply. Based on your message, I checked Zone Alarm's log and sure enough, the first LAN access was for port 135. There was however, a second LAN access request for 127.0.0.1:4196. This address does not exist within my LAN. Just thought you would like to know. Karen
