Mayoff
If you are writing to a disk backup set with Media Verification turned on, then this is normal.
cummings
we are writing to a tape backup set with media verification (MD5). is that still normal?
Mayoff
Every time it switches media, it will do a verify. Do you use more then one tape?
cummings
ahhhh. yes we have 11 LTO3 tapes that the disaster recovery write to. so i imagine that they are verifying each time a tape gets ejected and another is about to be put in. thank you.
