pjd813
Even though the WRITE function of my LaCie 24x drive on my OS9.2.2 Mac isn't recognized yet, it WOULD be nice if retrospect would at LEAST recognize the drive to the point that I could RESTORE at 40x. I'll take whatever I can get.........................
AmyJ
Just so I'm clear, which LaCie drive are you using? You can find this information from Configure > Devices > Device Status. Please list Vendor, Product and Version.

AmyJ
If the drive is unsupported by Retrospect to backup data, it will be unsupported to restore data. Dantz builds drivers specific to devices that ensure that the data is being handled properly for all operations. This includes restores.
pjd813
the lack of support for this drive is very frustrating.......................... I am now waiting for the DVD+R format to be supported on the Mac platform, and I will most certainly have to wait even LONGER for such a drive to be supported BOTH on the Mac and by Retrospect............. I really wish there were more competition in the desktop backup arena............................ Pete
