Kimn
I need to reformat the disk that runs Retrospect Backup workgroup. It's running W2KPro. I am trying to copy the Retrospect config files onto a shared drive for backup. Even when I kill the process, retrorun.exe, I am unable to copy config55.dat or company.rbc. Says the files are in use. Any suggestions? Perhaps there is an easier way altogether? Thanks! Kimn
Kimn
I cannot kill the retrorun.exe process from within taskmanager. Receive Access Violation. I cannot copy the files or kill retrorun even in Safe mode
natew
Hi Why do you have to kill the process? Will it not close normally? You should be able to copy the files but not move them. Thanks Nate
Kimn
Hello Nate, Yes, that would be the obvious answer, wouldn't it? Those 2 Retrospect files would not copy, move, cut, etc for the life of me. It seems like so long ago I can't recall the workaround! How embarassing... I swear I've been doing IT work now for 15 years, and it took me days and countless scenarios to copy those darn things. Many Thanks, Kim Quote: Hi Why do you have to kill the process?
