Gscavello Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 I have been using Retrospect for a while am planning to upgrade current backup solution. My data pool has grown in size from ~10GB to more than 130GB after compression. Current solution is to do incremental backups each evening from 5 Workstations + 2 laptops, and once per month burn new copy of backup pool to DVD. Primary problem is that burning and verifying this many discs takes too much time. I am also expecting a deluge of data in the next 12-18 months, probably another 200-300 GB. Planned solution is to purchase tape drive (VXA-1, VXA-2 or AIT) and run while I sleep. Drive suggestions/comments/experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.
