Can Retrospect wake up computer from standby?

Recommended Posts

I am running Retrospect Desktop 5.5 on Windows 2000 Professional. I have my computer set to go into standby automatically after a certain amount of time. My daily backups are scheduled for 7pm, a time when my computer is usually in standby. My problem is that Retrospect does not wake the computer from standby to start the backup. Instead, the backup starts the next time I use the computer.

Is there a way to set Retrospect to wake up the computer from standby at the scheduled time to run backups?

Nope, Sorry Retrospect can not wake up a sleeping computer, or put a computer to sleep when the backup is done.

The best option is to use some type of schedule with your energy saver to turn on and off at specific times.

Wake on LAN type features are on our "to do" list.
