mhains
How do I specify that Retrospect v5.x for Windows runs as a specific user on auto-launch? Currently the machine turns itself on at 1am and starts backing up. If my wife logs in, SHE sees the Retrospect application running. If *I* login first, it's ME who sees the Retrosect application running. How can I configure it so that even if SHE logs in first, it's ME that sees the Retrospect backup in progress? I don't want her accidentally stopping the backup or getting the "need new tape" messages. I'm running WinXP Professional SP1. Thank you, Michael

Edit the Retrospect Launcher Service (the windows service that allow Retrospect to launch automatically). The log on can be configured by stopping the service, changing the log on to the user name/password you'd like and then starting the service. Right click on My Computer > Manage to get to the Services.
