cogappuk
We are using mac retrospect server 5.0.238 and on a OSx client, I did a network update Now whenever I try to open the client up on that OSx machine it says "The Client was installed without root permissions" is there a way to rectify this ? will I have to uninstall al the clients on OSx machines and then re-install it from the machines plus change my scripts ? joe

natew
Hi The files likely won't back up again. As long as the files on the disk don't change reinstalling the client won't require another full backup. Nate
cogappuk
How does the retrospect server know if a certain client is the same client or another client with the same name ? Does it read the client machine name or IP possibly ?
