Exclude Cache Files extension suggestion

Recommended Posts

I am running Retrospect Express 5.0.238 on Mac OS X 10.3.2 with the security update. My 13+G backup took over 12 hours today. I use duplicate with exclude cache files. The target is an external firewire drive. I am too impatient to do nothing for that time so I was surfing using Safari. It would be a help if Retrospect ignored the Safari cache files. I had a lot, >1000, file missing errors. BTW, I found the 5.1 upgrade less than compelling since none of the known problems were addressed. Other threads address the problems of performance with Panther. Has the one hour daylight saving time issue been solved? Is there any effort to improve performance? I think part of that problem is the useless display of the file name while closing files.
