zooster3
I'm getting a 120 error when I attempt to do a Retrospect backup from a G4 running Panther to a new G5 running Tiger 10.4.3. and the Files from my old G4 were moved to the G5 (Thing) using Apple's Migration Assistant. The Retrospect Client software is installed on the G5 (6.1.107) is "ON" and the backup works until it gets to this machine. I"m running the latest version of Retrospect with the 6.1.3.101 update. Here is what the log says: Can't access volume Projects D1 on Thing, error -120 (folder not found). Can't access volume Users on Thing, error -120 (folder not found). 2/3/2006 11:34:12 AM: Execution incomplete. Total duration: 00:01:30 (00:01:29 idle/loading/preparing) Quit at 2/3/2006 11:34 AM ? Retrospect version 6.1.126 launched at 2/3/2006 11:34 AM + Retrospect Driver Update, version 6.1.3.
CallMeDave
Quote: Can't access volume Projects D1 on Thing, error -120 (folder not found). Is "Projects D1" a defined subvolume on Thing, used as a Source in the backup? Can you see "Projects D1" in Configure->Volumes? You mention the fact that the new machine has files from an old machine. This is either a red herring, or it suggests that you're expecting Retrospect to see a folder that was defined on the old machine as a subvolume. Just because a folder is in the same place on the new computer, Retrospect won't treat it as the old subvolume. You'll need to update your volume configurations and your scripts. zooster3
Dave, Thank you, I didn't understand the problem before but I looked at Configure/Volumes and realized that Retrospect was looking at the old folders, not the new ones. To answer your questions: Is "Projects D1" a defined subvolume on Thing, used as a Source in the backup? NO Can you see "Projects D1" in Configure->Volumes? YES, BUT ITS SOURCE WAS DESIGN 1, WHICH GIVES A 120 ERROR WHEN I DO A "GET INFO". I have not tested the solution yet but I feel sure that this will fix the problem.
