How do I create a bootable CDROM from a .dmg file

I'm downloading the .dmg file to make a bootable Retrospect 6.1 disk for OS X, but there are no instructions for creating a bootable CDROM from a .dmg file.

 

I found instructions for creating a bootable CDROM at http://www.bombich.com/mactips/bootx.html. Do these instructions apply for making the Dantz bootable CDROM?

I assume you can just open it in Apple's Disk Utility and burn it.
