fu22ba55
Howdy. PowerMac G5 Dual 2GHz 3GB Ram Mac OS 10.3.9 Retrospect Workgroup 6.1.126 PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-117D version: B705 (OEM SuperDrive) Driver: Pioneer DVD RW (5.10) When Backing up to DVD-R... (backing up a local disc, not network clients) About every 5-7 discs, I get a 102 error. Whatever. Retrospect refuses to configure my OEM SuperDrive. (another thread) Q: When my script fails with a 102 error, and I put in a new disc, will Retrospect re-attempt to backup whatever the last file that failed to write was? Or do I have gaps in my strorage set? I don't want to troubleshoot WHY I'm getting 102 errors, I'll save that for another thread. I want to know if Retro is cleaning up after itself, or if I'm wasting a ton of DVD-Rs. -Fu22
twickland
Whenever an error occurs during the backup of a file, Retrospect is supposed to back up the file again at the next opportunity. To confirm this, you can go to Reports> Contents>, highlight the backup session you're interested in, and browse to see if the file was included.
