hmonroe
Retrospect V6.1.126 XServe G5 Power PC - OSX V10.3.9 Exabyte VXA-2a 10 tape Autoloader My tape loader - Exabyte VXA-2a 10 tape Autoloader - uses barcodes. The barcode was not being read reliably so I put on a new barcode. When Retrospect reads the tape it thinks it is the old tape barcode. Physical barcode on the tape: E0000004 Barcode Retrospect displays when it is in the tape drive: B0000008 Erasing the tape still keeps the old barcode. How can I get Retrospect to erase the tape label/header and use the new barcode?
waltr
Hi Harold, This KB article will tell you how to clear the barcode info for the whole library: http://kb.dantz.com/article.asp?article=7901&p=2 Then you will want to have Retrospect scan all the tapes so the current barcodes are recorded. hmonroe
I found the article. Step 3 says to go to the "Storage Devices Window" and press "Option+Eject All". Is "Eject All" a push button? I see 6 buttons on the right in that window: 1. Device Status 2. Eject (which is dimmed) 3. Erase 4. Scan Selected 5. Erase Selected 6. Unload All/Mag... but I don't see an "Eject All"
waltr
Hi Harold, I believe you have to have the loader selected and then the eject button will change to 'eject all'.
