JeffX
I recently purchased a Maxtor One Touch 2 drive for back-up. It came bundled with Retrospect 6. I installed the software and the easy back-up script. It worked fine for several nights and then one morning I was greeted with a dialog box saying " Can't access catalog for backup set Backup Set A, error -43 (file/folder not found). 10/17/2005 4:00:21 AM: Execution incomplete. I searched the KB here and rebuilt the catalog file. It worked again for several nights but this AM I again recieved this message. I'm wondering if logging out before the back-up occurs doesn't allow it to take place. This seems to unmount the BU drive (not sure of this). I'm running Mac OS X 10.3.9. natew
Hi Yes. That is what is happening. OSX 10.3 unmounts the drive when you log out. You can fast user switch to the log in window rather than log out. Thanks Nate
JeffX
Nate- Thanks for the heads-up on this. I began to suspect this was the case- it's good to get the confirmation. Jeff
