Problem with Catalogs out of sync after updating to Mac OS 10.4

Just updated to 10.4. Made sure to also update to latest version of Retrospect 6.0.212 and driver 6.6.101. Was previously running the earlier version 6.0.204 with driver 6.2.102 when using Mac OS 10.3.

 

Now my backups fail because the system sees a problem with the backup set catalogs. I get the message Catalog out of sync with backup set...

Asks to run Tools>Repair>Update Existing. When I do this the tape reads and gets to the building catalog stage and just runs indefinitely with our completing the recataloging. No files are completed, the dialog just says

 

building Catalog...

 

Completed 0 files zero K

 

What do I need to do to fix this?
