anderkh
I'm running Retrospect 6.0 on a Powermac backing up a Windows machine. The backup set includes a number of Subversion work areas. Subversion places a .svn directory in each directory of the workarea, and inside that .svn directory, there's a directory called 'tmp'. I just had a big problem restoring because Retrospect 'decided' that anything named 'tmp' should not be backed up. Is there someplace that you can configure what filenames are ignored? I had this exact same problem a while back because Retrospect decided not to backup my entire development directory because it was called 'Dev'. This is very frustrating - you think you have a backup, and then you find out the backup software ignored some files. Ken
Mayoff
Are you using the all files selection criteria or all files except cache files?
Mayoff
I ran a test on my system and Retrospect does not exclude the tmp directory that I created on my desktop. It is even included with the cache files selector. Are you using a custom selector?
