jaypea500
I'm suddenly getting this error when trying to add a network volume by double clicking "Microsoft Windows Network." Also getting the error when trying to access via Configure>Volumes. Dunno why. It's worked now for many years, so this is new. The network assets are accessible through Windows itself. I can reach them without issue. There's been no changes to my machine or it's Retrospect install (17.5.2.103 on Win10 Pro 22H2/19045.5011) other than the usual Windows Updates. I searched the forum for the error and found only one entry from 2016 where the poster had the same issue and was able to sort it out but didn't know how ("I fiddled with Retrospect until it worked..."). Not much of a solution. The error does not seem to be listed in the error message list in the Retrospect documentation. Because of this issue, other backups that have worked fine are now failing, nor can I add a new backup routine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks... ...joe p
Lennart_T
Are you sure the error code is -1001 and not 1001? Since it's a Windows error, have you checked the Windows Event Viewer?
