pls2000
In the Exclude section of a selector, I have Windows folder path exactly matches C:\Users\pls\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\Cache This correctly excludes the folder from backup. However, if I have Windows Special Folder is Application Data and Windows folder path exactly matches C:\Users\pls\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\Cache The folder is not excluded. This tells me that the Windows Special Folder condition doesn't do what I think it does. Can anyone tell me what it actually does? DavidHertzberg
pls2000, See the first dialog on page 442 of the Retrospect Windows 15 User's Guide, but also see "Working With Conditions" on pages 438-440. You want to connect the two conditions with the Or operator, not the And operator. C:\Users\pls\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\Cache is not the Application Data folder, so no folder can satisfy both of the conditions simultaneously—which is what you require if you connect them with the And operator. I think they teach logical operators in high school programming courses now.
