ShadeTek
What would be good for me is an option to exclude certain named files and or folders from EVERY backup job that I create. This would save me having to exclude these files and folder being filtered out every time I make a script. Anyone else think this could be of use? DavidHertzberg
Shade Tek, Why not simply create a custom Selector to exclude those named files and folders, and then specify that Selector in every Backup script you create? Selectors are described on pages 508-529 of the Retrospect Windows 8 User's Guide, which is the next complete UG after 7.7—which you say you are using. x509
Agree. I have a selector named "_Always Exclude." The leading underscore means that this selector will be at top of the Selectors list. This selector contains entries like, "~*.* for MS Office temp files, *.bak, my \temp directory, etc. Works fine.
