Desktop for Windows - Backup Duplicate 'Advanced v Wizard Mode'

I'm currently running the latest trial version of 'Desktop for Windows' for evaluation.

I used to use Retrospect many years ago and become fairly familiar with it.

What I will like to find out is why when I run a Duplicate on previously backed up/copied folders & files (not through any software, just a windows copy) does the Advanced mode want to Duplicate far more folders/files than if I run a Duplicate in wizard Mode which seems to acknowledge more of the folders/files that exist.

I normally like to use advance mode as it gives the opportunity to view and access all the files chosen to be Duplicated but i'm finding it less efficient and would like to discover why that is?
