Lucky_Phil
Hi there, My earlier versions of Retrospect up to version 8.5 all succeeded in running a check for updates. Since version 10.0.0.213 the check for updates fails. I manually updated to version 10.0.1.103 from the downloads page, but the check for updates still fails in that version also. Is this a general failure in the version 10 editions, or have some users been able to run the check successfully? Regards, Phil.
Lennart_T
At least it is a bug in 10.0.0.213. I have not tried 10.0.1.103. It isn't noted as "Fixed" in the latter version, so I assume it's still a problem. (I can't remember where I read it was/is a bug. Sorry)
Lucky_Phil
Thanks for that info Lennart. At least it's good to know that it does not affect only me ... safety in numbers.
Scillonian
Checked for updates from 10.0.1.103 and it gave an error so looks like the bug is not fixed. (According to the dialog box: "Last successful check for updates: 2015-03-14")
Lucky_Phil
Just to advise, that the latest version (Retrospect for Windows 10.0.2.119) still has the problem.
Lucky_Phil
The good news ... Version 10.5 for Windows, released the other day has now fixed the check for updates function. (After doing a manual download to update - obviously)
