I have been backing up the Windows 7 & 8.1 PCs from the MiniMac Server w Retrospect 10.2 Unlimited Single Server fine for a year.

 

Now on .pst files start to get 'error -1111 ( locked range conflict )'

 

Can someone elighten me or point me in the right direction to overcome this please.

Do you have the "open file" add-on? Is it active?

No, I do not have that add-on.

I have never needed it ... worked fine before.

 

I assume this may be happening because people have started leaving their Microsoft Outlook OPEN and Active all the time?

Exactly.

Outlook is terrible, completely locking out all other processes from their files.

I will remind the Staff yet again to close all Applications and log out of their PCs before going home each night :-)

I have also installed Outlook Backup Addon to copy (and create therefore an inactive .PST . archive) backup into their User folder :-)
That works!
