mlandman
When trying to select one of my internal HDs as a source one of the drives has a 'lightning bolt' icon next to it in the sources window. If I try to 'Add Favorite' on that disk Retrospect says "Source unavailable or in use". I've been able to use this disc as a source before. The disc is visible and useable in the Mac finder and there are no other apps running. I've tried restarting the computer, but the problem is still there. All of my other discs are working correctly. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on and how I might fix this? I'm using Retrospect 10.2.0 on Mac OS 10.6.8. Thank you
twickland
The lightning bolt indicates that Retrospect thinks the volume in question is not mounted. Did you by any chance reformat that drive or make changes to the drive volume? Retrospect tracks disk volumes by UUID, not name, and reformatting the volume will change the UUID. Of course, if this is what happened, you should see both the old volume (with a lightning bolt) and the new volume (with a circle icon). If you select the volume with the lightning bolt icon, are you able to remove it from the Sources list or is the Remove button grayed out?
