Windows 98 Can't Track Volume error

I am trying to run the retrospect client on an old Windows 98SE computer

 

It used to work. Now I'm running the 7.7.114 client (And 7.7.620 server). When I click on 'Volumes' in the client list for the win98 machine, I get an error "Can't Track Volumes, error -1 (unknown)"

 

I tried older versions of the client, and I get other errors, like pcvoldriver.dll referencing a function it can't find in kernel32.dll

 

Can anyone help?

Retrospect 7.7 does not support Windows 98

Ugh... what was the latest version that did support Win98SE?

Didn't hear anything from Dantz, and even google didn't tell me. So I tried 7.6, and it worked great for Win98SE.
