Don Lee Posted May 22, 2012 Report Share Posted May 22, 2012 I recently enabled the tape cleaning interval after reading on HP's website that 24 hours of "pulling tape" is the recommended interval between cleaning for my drive (HP storage works DAT72 drive). I find that with this set to non-zero, Retro 9.0.2 will send me email when the tape needs to be cleaned. Cool. Question: Aside from the email, I see no indication that I need to clean the tape drive. If I'm not set up to send email from the engine, how does Retro tell me to clean the drive? Am I missing something on the console?
